Palmer Square is currently seeking candidates for an Institutional Business Development position. This position offers a unique opportunity to not only work with a growing firm, but also a collaborative sales team.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prospect and develop new client relationships in the U.S.
- Create a structured sales plan to target new clients
- Foster and maintain relationships with existing clients
- Maintain a deep understanding of firm’s investment strategies, product line-up, and which types of investors resonate could most benefit from firm’s strategies
- Work across departments seamlessly including investments, risk, compliance, and operations
- Work closely with other members of the business development team
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Minimum of 10 years experience raising capital in the US market
- Existing industry relationships, institutional and family office preferred
- Experience distributing multiple product types to include separately managed accounts, private funds, mutual funds and exchange traded funds
- Strong investment understanding and abilities surrounding corporate and structured credit. Strategies include opportunistic credit, private credit, income/short duration, and structured credit.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance-related field is preferred
- Experience with institutional consultants is preferred
- Experience dealing with credit/fixed income products and/or alternative products is a plus
